With its scalloped bays, offshore islands, and rich marine life, this is a region that holds a special place in the hearts of Kiwis — whether you're a local, a holidaymaker, or a lifelong ocean lover.

The map includes the iconic Mercury Islands (Ngāwhatu-kai-ponu), located just north of Opito Bay, as well as the lesser-known but equally dramatic Aldermen Islands, sitting 20km off the Tairua coast. Near the mussel farms, you’ll find the smaller inshore islands dotting the bay. The map stretches from Port Jackson in the north down to Whangamatā in the southwest, covering the peninsula’s most treasured coastal landmarks.

Each map is expertly crafted in New Zealand, with layers laser-cut from European Birch 3-ply plywood, hand-painted, and assembled to reveal the depth and beauty of the Coromandel coastline.
