This is our wooden depth map of Aotea - Great Barrier Island.
The two ferry terminals - Port Fitzroy and Tryphena - sit on the western and southern side of the island respectively. The smattering of islands off the west coast - including Kaikoura island - provide good fishing and diving. Surf break from the pacific ocean rolls onto the east coast of the island, where you'll find amazing white sand beaches.
Construction: All of our maps are designed and built in New Zealand. To achieve geographical precision, each layer is laser cut, before being painted and assembled - all entirely by hand. Find out more about our maps here.
