Banks Peninsula is one of the most striking geographical features of the South Island. Comprised of the eroding remnants of two large volcanos. The dormant craters form Lyttelton and Akaroa Harbours.

A large marine reserve surrounds most of the peninsula to protect the Hector dolphin, the smallest of all dolphin species. People often sight these beautiful animals in the Akaroa harbour.

We design and build all our maps right here in New Zealand. We use laser cutting to make each layer accurate. Then, we paint and put them together by hand. Find out more about our maps, bespoke additions, and how they're made.
