🏞️ Lake Ohakuri Wooden Depth Map
Tucked away in the central North Island, Lake Ohakuri doesn't get the same attention as its famous neighbour - and that's exactly why the people who know it, love it. Created when the Ohakuri Dam was built on the Waikato River in the 1960s, it has a beautifully irregular shoreline full of inlets and bays, making it a favourite for fishing, boating and getting away from it all. Whether you grew up on its banks or just have a soft spot for a place most people drive straight past, Ohakuri is one worth putting on the map.
Designed and made in New Zealand, each layer is laser-cut from sustainably sourced European Birch plywood, then hand-painted and assembled with care to honour both the land and its stories.
