This is our wooden depth map of the Marlborough Sounds.
The region is made up of three main sounds; Queen Charlotte Sound, Pelorus Sound and Kenepuru Sound. The two main islands are D'Urville island in the north-west and Arapawa island in the south-east. The Cook Strait ferry typically travels up the Queen Charlotte sound from Picton, and leaves through the Tory channel below Arapawa island.
