Great Barrier Island

The two ferry terminals - Port Fitzroy and Tryphena - sit on the western and southern side of the island respectively. The smattering of islands off the west coast - including Kaikoura island - provide good fishing and diving. Surf break from the Pacific Ocean rolls onto the east coast of the island, where you'll find amazing white sand beaches.
