This is our wooden depth map of Mount Maunganui.
The actual mountain (Mauao in Maori) is a dormant volcano right at the end of the peninsula. The summit is 232m above sea level, and provides fantastic views over the Bay of Plenty. The white sandy Maunganui beach is a summer hotspot, and provides an epic surf break for any adventure seekers.
Construction: All of our maps are designed and built in New Zealand. To achieve geographical precision, each layer is laser cut, before being painted and assembled - all entirely by hand. Find out more about our maps here.
