Drawing from his engineering background, Matt uses his graphic design skills to turn information heavy GIS (geographic information system) files into aesthetically beautiful artwork. His passion for the water extends beyond art into freediving and kayaking, and inspiration for products often comes from adventures.

Why the name Tides Out Maps? Imagine if the tides were to recede all the way out.. we'd see the beautiful landscapes that had been hidden from sight under the surface of the ocean. It is our mission to bring these to life.
